Privacy Policy

This explains what information Better receives, what it uses it for, and what it does not do. Using Better means you accept this policy.

What we don't do

Better carries no advertising and does no user tracking. Specifically:

• No advertising identifier (IDFA), and no App Tracking Transparency prompt
• No location collection
• Your training data is never sold to anyone, and never used for advertising
• No sharing of your personal information with third parties, except where the law compels it

Sign-in information

You can sign in with Apple, WeChat, or a phone number. What we receive is the identifier that distinguishes your account — the unique ID that Apple or WeChat provides, or the phone number you enter.

Phone numbers are used only for sign-in verification and account security, and are stored encrypted. We do not use them to send you anything unrelated to your account.

The training data you enter

Exercises, weights, reps, sets, session times, notes, routines, body weight, body fat, and measurements — you enter all of it yourself. It is stored under your account and used to show you your own records and statistics.

You can delete any single record, or your entire account, from inside the app.

Apple Watch and health data

If you use Better on Apple Watch, it reads your heart rate during a workout to display it on the training screen. This requires your explicit permission in the system prompt. You can decline, and you can revoke it later in the Health app. Everything else on the watch keeps working either way.

Profile photos

If you upload a profile photo, it is stored on our storage service and read only through a time-limited private link — anyone without that link cannot reach it.

Keeping the app working

We collect diagnostic information about crashes and errors so we can find the cause. This describes where the program went wrong. It is not used to profile you, and it is never shown to any third party alongside your training content.

Subscriptions

Better Pro is handled through the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment method, card number, or billing address — Apple handles all of it. All we know is whether your account currently has an active subscription.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account directly from the profile section of the app. Once deleted, the training records and personal information tied to that account are removed and cannot be recovered. If you signed in with Apple, follow the in-app instructions to also revoke Better's Sign in with Apple authorisation in your system settings.

Children

Better is not directed at children under 14. If you are a minor, please use it with the consent and guidance of a guardian.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page. For significant changes, we will tell you in the app.
